I am trying so hard to remember all the sweet little moments with my boys. I keep a journal for both of them that I started when I found out I was pregnant with them. They each have a notebook and I write letters to them. I'll give it to them when they are grown men so they'll know how much I have always loved them. I also know I'd never remember it all due to the lack of sleep I get. I want them to know all the sweet, funny, terrible, and weird things they have done.
This blog also helps me share.
Right now, Jonathan loves to talk about kings and princesses and princes. He likes when I talk about Princess Laura and Prince Jon. I tell him about how we met. I tell him about the wedding. He always likes to get to the part about Prince Jonathan and Prince Jack. He thinks my name is Mommy Breeden. But when I put on a dress, he calls me Princess Laura. He calls himself "The King of the Forest" from the book The Giving Tree. He likes to ask me to dance when we play Princess Laura and King of the Forest. It's so sweet I tear up when we dance. I want those moments to last forever. Jon and I love to dance and we try to get the boys to love it too. We don't dance as much as we want, but we try. We'll have a dance party in the dining room. I'm sure the neighbors think we are crazy. (Still no blinds on the windows.)
Jonathan and Jack have started wrestling. Yes, Jack is 7 1/2 months old. But he weighs almost as much as Jonathan, who is 2 1/2 now. They love it. They laugh and roll around on each other. It helps wear them out.
They also fight. Jonathan doesn't like to share. He doesn't even want Jack to look at his toys. He'll put everything up on the couch where Jack can't reach. Last night, Jonathan was hitting Jack's hand for trying to reach his drum. Jonathan got time out for that one.
I love being a mom. I am very tired. I am stressed out. I do have snot smeared on the bottom of my pants. But when they both squeal and laugh when I show up to pick them up from school, it's worth it.
