Brotherly love
It's one of the best feelings as a mom .. seeing your children as friends. These two love each other. Jonathan is such a big brother. Jack adores Jonathan. I am so glad I get to be their mom. Look at those sweet faces. I know they are going to cause me grief and gray hair one day. For now, I'm going to keep snapping pictures, writing down all the cute things they do, and try to remember these moments.

Conversations with Jonathan
Jonathan: My Papa makes grass. (He means cuts the grass.)
Mommy: Oh yeah? What does Grandma make?
Jonathan: Apple Juice!
Jonathan: I'm a tiger!
Mommy: What is Jack?
Jonathan: A monkey!
Mommy: What is Mommy?
Jonathan: A hippo!
Mommy: Jonathan is a good boy.
Jonathan: And Daddy's a good boy. And Brandon's a good boy. And Mommy's a good boy.
Mommy: No, Mommy's a good girl.

Happy Halloween
We decided to do evil this year for Halloween. Mainly because Jon and I didn't fit in the Super Hero costumes. No one wants to see Cat Woman after she's had two kids. Jack was the cutest Lil' Devil ever. And Jonathan embraced his dracula cape. He growled all night.
Jonathan loved going door-to-door saying Trick or Treat. He'd get some candy, say thank you, and say "Another House!" He was adorable. Jack was a good little trick-or-treater also.

Sweet Jack
Little monkey playing around in his Jumping Jack. He's not much of a jumper. He just likes to stand on one leg. He's just so sweet. Such a little lover. He loves kisses, hugs, and holding hands!

The girls
Holly - sister-in-law - threw a baby shower at my house for Katherine - Megan's roomie. She's in the white dress with blue flowers. She's super tiny so I thought I'd point her out. :) Megan in the green. Holly in the black sweater. It was a very nice shower. Jon took the boys to Grammy's for the afternoon, so we could have girl time.
“Don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things”
Haha! These three crack me up. And keep me up .. at night.
Silly brothers in the tub. They both love bath time.

Brothers
I'm so blessed to have such wonderful boys. They are both so sweet and loving. Jack is a wonderful baby. I've gone back to work and they are back at daycare. Jonathan is having a hard time. He just wants to stay home all day with us. He does like his school. He's back to singing, playing and learning his letters. Jack is doing great, too. I think Ms. Sally likes having a baby around. I know the little girls there like having Jack. Both my boys are good with the ladies.

Jack's first flight
I don't like to waste any time off from work, so we booked a family trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The Goffs decided to skip Christmas presents every year and take a family vacation somewhere. This year we are in the mountains. The boys did pretty good on the plane. We spent a few days with friends in Denver, then hit the road.

Master shower
Still working on the house. Lots more to do. Jon's working every day to upgrade everything but the kitchen sink! I'm working to unpack and organize. Jonathan is just leaving a trail of bouncy balls and toy trucks for us to trip over. Jack just loves to be there.
Oh my gosh!
Jonathan amazes us everyday with the things he says. Here's a few conversations we've had lately.
Today I went outside to sweep the sidewalk. The sprinkler got dirt on one section.
Jonathan - "Oh my gosh! What happened here?"
When I was taking him to daycare this morning, he yawned and said "I'm tired. I want to go night-night." I told him he couldn't go night-night yet. He said "Why not?" I told him he had to go to school. He just continued to say "Why not? Why not?"
While staying with my parents, Jonathan learned how to pick up dog poop with Papa. Now, he tells Jon "I wanna make the poo-poo!" So they go outside and get the shovel to clean up the yard.
It's fun waiting to see what he'll say next.

Jack - 8 weeks old
Jack is super sweet. He's a happy baby. Loves to eat. Loves to sleep. We just moved into our house. Jack finally has his own room. I picked Teddy Bears to decorate his room since he's my little snuggler. They say children are all very different and my boys certainly are. Jonathan loved to sleep alone. He never slept in our bed. He wanted his own crib, his own space. Jack loves to snuggle. He loves to be held. He loves to be close to someone.

There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them.
I was so excited when Jon showed me this picture. Can you see the surprise? This is the new master shower in our house. That has two showerheads in it! We always said the next house would have a walk-in shower that was bigger and would have two showerheads. TA DA! There it is. I'm so blessed to have such a talented husband! He is working fast and furious to get things fixed up for us to move in.
Life with two kids
There's not much time to nap around here. Jonathan is a burst of energy - a burst that lasts from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. He does take a short nap in the afternoon, but Jack picks up the slack there. Jonathan is doing great as a big brother. He likes to run and rock the baby when he starts crying. He likes to kiss him each morning and say "Morning, Jack." It's super cute. We are still staying at my parents' house while Jon works on the house. These pictures are from a weekend visit. Jonathan really missed his daddy.

Jack Wallace Breeden
Jack Wallace Breeden - born Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 6:24 p.m. He is sweet as sugar. He weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces. 20 3/4 inches long. Big brother Jonathan is being wonderful. He loves his little baby. The whole family is adjusting to life as a family of four! We've had so much support from our family and friends. It's amazing how people are there for you when you need it most. From bringing meals, helping with diaper changes, watching Jonathan, and offering love and advice - we have such a wonderful network of help.

"A grand adventure is about to begin." - Winnie the Pooh
We are still waiting. I'm 38 weeks and 5 days. I'm going to the doctor this afternoon to see where we stand. I'm getting very tired and feeling very big. But New Baby doesn't want to come out yet, though I know he's not very comfortable in there any more. He gets feisty if he gets cramped - like when Jonathan climbs all over me. New Baby fights back. That is really uncomfortable.
We are also still waiting to hear back about when we close on the house. The date is June 21, but we were hoping to have it moved up. Jon is so anxious. He just wants to get in there and start working. I told him to enjoy this downtime, but he's not that kind of man. He wants to be busy. He is being very helpful with Jonathan and making dinner and trying to make me comfortable.
For now, we'll wait. Patience is our big lesson. I'm trying to enjoy this time as a family of three. Things are about to get crazy again.

Hurry up and wait...
Waiting for baby. I'm 37 weeks and 5 days. Car seat is installed. Bags are packed. Cradles, cribs, swings, changing table, diapers, wipes, onesies - all in place. I gave notice at work (Big Brothers Big Sisters), notice at Jonathan's daycare, notice to Jon to answer every time I call him.
Waiting for the house. We got the loan paperwork signed. The realtor got the contract signed. We've measured the house. We've discussed our plan to remodel. I just need a closing date. Then Jon will start making it ready for us.
We are taking it one day at a time now. Enjoying each other. Enjoying Jonathan. Enjoying the extra cookies I'm allowing myself. Peace. Be still.

Happy Birthday, Choo-choo!
Jonathan loves trains, so we threw a train party for his second birthday. Jonathan kept singing "Happy Birthday, Choo-choo!" Next year I'll tell him it's "Happy Birthday to you!" New Baby is due near his actual birthday on June 18, so he shared his party with his cousin Caleb, 3. They had such a good time. Hannah did a great job organizing everything and Martha made an awesome cake. Now I can just relax and wait for baby.

Trending Right Now!
Burr Oak - We found a house on Burr Oak in San Antonio. We are super excited. We love the house and the location. Jon is ready to start fixing it up to make it our own. We close on our due date: June 21. I told our realtor that I wouldn't mind signing papers in the hospital. We need a house.
36 weeks 5 days - New Baby is growing and getting ready. But we have a few weeks to go. Doctor says everything is right on schedule. Doctor did say no Mexican food, no Italian food, no fried food, no pizza. I might starve in the next few weeks.
Truck, tractor, car, bus - Jonathan LOVES transportation. He loves trains. He loves construction zones. He loves huge buses whizzing by us. He even picked out a library book with all the different types of vehicles. We talk about skid loaders, scrapers, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks. He even falls asleep with hot wheels in his hand. Silly baby!

SOLD!
We sold the house! It took four years to remodel our "fixer-upper" home. It took just a week to sell it. Yay! Now we have two weeks to move out.
Jon is already shopping for new homes. He loves to look.
Baby is due in three months, so we'll have to figure something out fast.

It's a boy!
Add another Breeden boy to the family. Of course, he's due in June. All of Martha's grandsons were born in June. This makes four grandsons in June.
We are very excited. Jon is already taking advantage of me being out numbered. Apparently "all the guys" voted on what to have for appetizer and mom was voted out. I told him that the "Queen" gets four votes anyways.
We'll keep you updated on New Baby! Yay!

Round Two
Jonathan is going to be a big brother soon. We are now 18 weeks along with baby number two. Jon and I are very excited. So are our families. We hope to find out boy/girl in early February. YAY! We would be very happy with either. We'll keep you posted.
To fall into a habit is to begin to cease to be.
Jonathan has quit the pacifier! His teacher started it at school during naps, then we started skipping it at bedtime. It was quite easy for us. As long as he has his stuffed elephant, two stuffed monkeys, a very soft blanket, and the noise-maker machine - he's out like a light. He sleeps from 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. every night.
He's talking a lot more - new words every day it seems. Truck, shark, dog, ball, more, thank you, and cookie. Of course, most of these words are only pronounced so only Jon and I can understand. Cook-cook is cookie. He asks for this several times a day. He doesn't demand .. just drops the word every so often to see if he can get one. Very cute.
He just started saying Papa and Nanny (Ninny).
Little man is growing up so fast. He is such a joy.
